FIELD DAY FUN

Last weekend we donned our Topshop festival finest and excitedly made our way over to Victoria Park for what promised to be a very enjoyable day. Now in its fifth year, Field Day has become one of London's hottest summer spots for music, sunshine and a lesson in summer chic. When we weren't whizzing between Anna Calvi, The Horrors and Gruff Rhys, we were style spotting, of course.

Gruff

We saw a record number of girls this year who had hit the sartorial nail on the head. From vintage-esque dresses and wild hair, pretty patterns toughened up with boots made for stomping and daytime denim perfectly layered, these girls had standout festival dressing down to a tee. Our favourite trends were scalloped edges, ankle boots and unexpected combinations. Throwing a Topshop kimono over one of our beaded collar shirts, for example, or making like our favourite illustrator Margot Bowman and clashing brightest neon with utility prints. There was perfect androgyny and aztec accessories, flashes of bright lipstick and those amazing Topshop Unique sandals we've all been drooling over since they stalked down the catwalk.

We came away feeling inspired and already excited for next summer's event. We'd love to know what your top summer style tips have been – which is your favourite of our Field Day style snaps?
