EDITED BY SUSIE LAU

Anyone who loves scouring blogs will know Susie Lau; the seriously respected blogger behind the one and only Style Bubble! Lauded all over the world for her eclectic style, off-kilter observations on fashion, and interest in emerging talent, it’s a daily read for industry insiders and clothes-obsessed girls alike. Always spotted sporting an eccentric and highly individual mash-up of high street and designer finds, we were truly excited about asking Susie to take over our curated Edited space from 2nd-14th September. Get set to be inspired by Susie's fearless attitude to dressing! It really was fun to watch her pull her looks bursting with colour and riotous prints together! As we're sure you'll sense from reading our catch-up with her, she may be even more enthusiastic about clothes then we are!

Catch Up With Susie:

I started blogging… To escape from a mundane job.

I love blogging because… I get to write about the things I love and it never feels like 'work'.

I became a full time blogger… Because I just wanted to keep feeding my blog…

For a piece to be chosen as part of my EDIT, it has to be…Something that I know I'll get at least ten wears out of…

My style signature is…Eclectic!

The AW11 show that blew me away was… Meadham Kirchhoff – a flurry of girls that look at once doomed and innocent storming in and out of a show… AWESOME!

The one piece I saw on the AW11 catwalks that I have to have is… Christopher Kane's gel-filled dresses.

This autumn, I’ll be wearing… A mix of paisleys, wintry florals and brocade/tapestry type fabrics.

My favourite AW11 Topshop collection is… A clash between Bavaria and Prim n' Polished

If you’re going to buy a few key pieces for autumn, invest in… A big oversized, hooded parka, a sequin embellished dress and any chunky intarsia knits.

If you peeked inside my wardrobe you’d see… A mess of colour and print with odd shapes jutting out everywhere

Right now, I have my eye on…A woollen cap and peplum skirt from Miu Miu and a custom-print Dries Van Noten dress where you can pick five prints from his archive to make up the dress.

If I could go back to any era, I’d love to live in… in Shanghai as a nightclub singer or 1760s in Paris as an aristocrat.

My earliest fashion memory is… Being severely attached to a black velvet dress with a white peter pan collar and a pair of black patent t-bar shoes.

The first fashion show I ever went to was… An accidental stumble into Boudicca's Fashion in Motion event in 2002. It was pretty magical.

My all time favourite designers are… Azzedine Alaia, Gianni Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Cristobal Balenciaga, Madame Gres… the greats basically.

My favourite magazines and blogs are… The Gentlewoman, The New Yorker, Dazed & Confused, Fire and Knives and Self Service. I have over 400 blogs on my RSS reader but my top reads are Tavi's blog, A Shaded View on Fashion, Business of Fashion, Fashionista, Refinery29, Luxirare, The Coveted, Park and Cube, Disneyrollergirl… there are so many more though!

New bloggers on the block worth noting are… I love The Cutting Class and it's not exactly new but I also love Miss Moss.

My day-to-day life consists of…Sitting at my iMac most of the time processing images, writing and going out into town for meetings and events. If I'm travelling though, anything goes. This month, I have LA, Stockholm, New York and Portugal on the cards.

I am motivated by… Learning as much as possible.

The highlight of my career so far has to be… Meeting people through blogging and travelling, who I can safely say will be my friends for life.

The best feeling in the world is… Feeling like nothing is weighing down on you.

Something not many people know about me is that… I eat five times a day (and a fair amount for each meal…).  It's a must for me otherwise I feel quite ill.

Excited? You can shop Susie’s Edit both online, in our London flagship at 286 Regent Street, and Manchester Arndale store.
