While hanging out in the Topshop cafe nibbling on strawberry tarts and sipping champagne, we bumped into countless fashion insiders as well as singers, actors and actresses galore! We were a tad star struck when we chatted to Elle Fanning, who looked cute as a button wearing a Topshop Boutique zip up navy dress over a pale blue shirt, and who had the most adorable tartan ribbon holding her ponytail high. We also had a chinwag with the ever gorgeous Daisy Lowe who did us the honour of wearing our AW12 hand knitted cross jumper and was gushing about how much she loved the last Topshop Unique collection. We told her that she’d feel the same about SS13 and have a feeling we’ll be seeing her in a few of the pieces shown on the catwalk today, very soon.
When we headed inside the Topshop spaceship, the shining star of our front row tour was undoubtedly Anna Dello Russo, incredibly chatty and wearing the most amazing headpiece as usual. Blogging power couple Scott Shuman and Garance Doré were both armed with their huge cameras ready to shoot all the looks making their way down the catwalk at lightening speed. Another lovebird couple was tattooed model Josh Beech and 90210 actress Shenae Green and when we spotted them, we almost couldn’t handle that much handsomeness in one go!
Just before the show began, we bumped in to Dazed’s Emma Wyman and Elizabeth Fraser-Bell who were being rushed to their seats and had a brief chit chat with Wonderland’s Julia Sarr-Jamois’ whose tremendous hair made her stand out from the crowd. Just next to the photographer pitt was LOVE magazine’s Alexander Furry in a Mary Katrantzou leather jacket and as the show started we spotted Susie Bubble on her iPad testing out our ‘Customise The Catwalk’.
A few neon lights, fierce walks, sheer amazingness and dancey beats later, we ran out in the middle of the crowd slaloming between Elle’s Anne-Marie Curtis and Vogue’s chairman Jonathan Newhouse (our life is so dangerous guys…) and reached the door just in time to grab the shoulder of Love Aesthetic’s Ivania Carpio – one of favourie bloggers – looking amazing in dashing white cycling shorts and clear Perspex heels.
Fran Burns was looking fluffy and soft in a furry leopard sweater and jeans while her assistant Saranne Woodcroft was wearing some Marques Almeida denim greatness and Bernard Wilhelm for Camper trainers whilst chatting to GQ’s Junior Fashion Editor Victoria Higgs.
