CAMDEN CRAWL IS COMING

Posted on June 12, 2014

After a brief stint in Dublin last year, Camden Crawl is back in its namesake home for 2014! So why pick this festival above the rest? With your wristband you’ll be given access to some 25 stages dotted around Camden’s coolest venues, with a line-up by in-the-know curators like Dalston clubbers The Nest Collective and top music blog The Line of Best Fit. Offering an eclectic mix of genres, spanning acts from US indie rockers Of Montreal to Swedish techno DJs The Field you can guarentee there’s something for all your mates.

We caught up with another of the festival’s must-see acts to hear more. Meet Kacey Underwood, one half of hot indie duo Big Deal

Hi Kacey! So what’s the vibe like at Camden Crawl?

Great bands and people spilling onto the streets to party. What could  be more fun?

Which acts are on your must-see list?

We’re looking forward to Crushed Beaks, Paws and TRAAMS. But it’s great to just wander around to catch new bands that other people are excited about.

What can we expect from your set?

It’s at the The Black Cap on the high street which is always fun! You can expect to hear lots of songs from our new EP.

What do you love about Camden?

I used to live there, but it’s changed quite a bit since then. I love Primrose Hill and always imagine Paul McCartney getting song ideas on strolls there. I hate incense so steer clear of the markets!

What look will you go for on stage?

Camden’s famous punk store Cyber Dog is just down the street so really we should be clad in pleather and spikes and about seven inches taller with our platforms on. When in Rome!

Camden Crawl festival runs from 20th-21st June. Get your tickets here
