FEELING CURIOUS?

Festivals aren’t only about music you know. If you’re into books, film, art, (or simply fancy soaking up some stunning scenery), then Curious Arts Festival might well be the best weekend you’ve ever had. Held in Hampshire’s Pylewell Park from August 18th – 20th July, this arts fest is jam-packed with everything you need for a fun ‘n’ cultured weekend.

Book worms will love the talks and readings from top authors and critics like Rachel Joyce and Craig Brown, while film buffs can check out the movie tent where they’ll be screening a selection of flicks from Horror of Dracula to Lemony Snickett. There’s also guided tours of the site by clued-up historians, not to mention the chance to embrace your inner-kid with donkey rides, a Jabberwocky hunt, magic shows and fair ground games.

And of course no festival would feel right without a bit of a boogie – so Curious have provided a stellar music line-up too. Kicking off the Friday night will be Eaves and Bear’s Den, followed by folk stars Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit. Saturday sees Luke Sital-Singh and Mercury nominee Ed Harcourt take to the stage, with Topshop fave Nick Mulvey bringing the evening to a close with that dreamy voice and Cuban-inspired sound.
