WHAT HAPPENED AT GRAND CENTRAL STATION…

When Topshop opens a new flagship, we do it right! Beyonce, Cara, Paris, Naomi and more partied at our launch event at Grand Central Station in NYC. Here’s what we learnt on the night…

1. BEYONCE SHOWED UP AND ROCKED A CLASSIC LBD

After our announcement last month that Beyoncé would work on a new partnership with Topshop rumours swam around whether she’d grace us with her presence at our #UNLOCK5TH event at Grand Central Station. Lucky for us, the Queen of Everything did come along to our VIP party and even better, she wore a black mini dress all our dreams are made of. Better still, you can buy it right now!

2. TOPSHOP GIRLS LOVE TO PARTY AND JESSIE J MADE IT HAPPEN

And by Topshop girls we mean our style insider Hailey Baldwin, A-lister Hailee Steinfeld and campaign girl Cara Delevingne, who as soon as Jessie J grabbed the mic post dinner were on the dance floor slowing. The party didn’t stop there with some romantic guitar playing from Nick Jonas followed by a DJ set to remember.

3. LIONEL RITCHIE IS SO COOL

Now us Topshop girls are generally all about music of the now and the next but when we heard stirrings Sir Philip Green was bringing along his pal Lionel Ritchie we were more than a little excited. As the A-listers took their seats the legendary soul singer took to the piano and played out maybe his favourite tune of choice, Easy Like Sunday Morning. Dreamy or what?

4. NEW YORK’S IT GIRLS SHOWED FACE

Mia Moretti, Bella Hadid, Yolanda Foster, Amirah Kassem, Sophie Auster, Zara Martin, Harley Viera-Newton, Atlanta De Cadenet… Seriously, the fabulous names just kept coming. All of the hippest and chicest kids from Manhattan – and even further afield – were at last night’s event. Our favourite moment? Harley Viera-Newton swooning over Nick Jonas.

5. WE HAD SERIOUS FASHION CRED

From the darling Eva Chen of Lucky to the reigning queen of Vogue, Anna Wintour, industry insiders abounded. Vogue’s Emma Elwick Bates chatted with fellow colleague and Topshop Creative Director Kate Phelan whilst another industry (and newspaper) favourite Naomi Campbell cosied up with our supermodel starlet Cara.

6. IT WAS A SISTER ACT

Not only did our campaign girl Cara kill it with her slick exclusive Topshop mini dress but her sister Poppy also looked crazy good in a faux fur throw and beaded white mini dress. The siblings didn’t end there when our favourite reality star Paris showed up with her sis.

7. THE TWITTER MIRROR IS THE NEW SELFIE

From Naomi Campbell and Derek Blasberg to Jessie J and Cara Delevingne our Twitter Mirror was the centre of all the celeb selfies. We even got Lionel Ritchie… Don’t forget to check them all out on our Twitter channel.
