MEADHAM KIRCHHOFF SS10

Despite the early start, all the top editors and buyers (Anna Wintour included) attended Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchoff’s SS10 show.

Inspired by the sculptures of Philip Wiegard - which were on display at the top of the catwalk - this was an achingly beautiful collection that left the audience wanting more.

As parlour music filled the space, girls dressed in voluminous t-shirts and black trousers - split at the knees and featuring utilitarian buckles and toggles - made their way down the catwalk.

Teamed with patent brogues customised by Jordan Askill, these deconstructed, easy-to-wear pieces had the buyers scribbling away.

The design duos’ bubble-gum pink sparkling t-shirts are also sure to be a hit with the style set next season! And teamed with dusky, loose fitting skirts, the statement shoulder was given a whole new feel for SS10.

Continuing their contrast of the soft and the hard, dresses were boxy at the top yet flowed into cascading ruffles. But what really stole the show was the navy tulle, decorated with delicate velvet bows, which was layered over trousers and skirts towards the end of their poetic show.
