SINDY IN THE SIXTIES

With her extensive vintage collection of clothes, one of favourite dolls, Sindy, has a hell of a lot of style gravitas. And now she's got a display at the Museum of Childhood to prove it! Until the 18th January you can take a trip to see her in her many vintage guises - from classic 60s dresses to the cutest airhostess uniform you've ever seen. Her friends Mitzi and Vicki will be there, as well as her boyfriend, the ever-dishy Paul. It's curated by long-time collector Helen Carter and we're sure it’s going to inspire a case of serious outfit envy!

TRANSFORMERS!

Knitwear extraordinaire, Louise Goldin, is back at Topshop with a new collection for AW09! A lover of everything sci-fi, this season, she's turned to Transformers and robots for inspiration. We knew we we're going to have to get our hands on one of her pieces as soon as we saw this print. It immediately made us want to go to the arcade and play Pacman!

This dress is set to land next week! In the meantime, we can't get over these leggings. Always loved Louise's contrast of light and heavy knits. Here's what Louise had to say about her latest Topshop collection.

"The collection was inspired by Transformers and robots. I have a collection of Transformer memorabilia, both old and new; I find it very inspirational. I wanted to create a range of cool jumpers; I emblazoned some jumpers with robot artworks, and I looked at the various style lines and colours from the body armour of Transformer action figures to create dresses, leggings and tops. A particular favourite - the robot jumper with the leggings, and of course the shoes which will be coming soon!"

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of model, colleague and friend Daul Kim. Our thoughts are with her family and all those who knew this incredibly gifted young woman.
