SINDY IN THE SIXTIES

November 25, 2009

Sindy-air

With her extensive vintage collection of clothes, one of favourite dolls, Sindy, has a hell of a lot of style gravitas. And now she's got a display at the Museum of Childhood to prove it! Until the 18th January you can take a trip to see her in her many vintage guises - from classic 60s dresses to the cutest airhostess uniform you've ever seen. Her friends Mitzi and Vicki will be there, as well as her boyfriend, the ever-dishy Paul. It's curated by long-time collector Helen Carter and we're sure it’s going to inspire a case of serious outfit envy!

Amazing! I'm a fan!

I had the BOAC Sindy! I remember thinking her bag was so cool and promptly buying a retro-style flight bag with my pocket money!

Those are so cute! my mom would love them!

Proving Sindy is far cooler than Barbie. Love the little flight attendant number -- so cute!

Haha Sindy was most definitely cooler!! Even her name!!
