Ho ho ho…

So the turkey's all gone and you're opening your fourth box of chocolates, grandpa's gone to sleep in the easy chair and the rest of the family are watching The Great Escape - it's what Christmas is all about! As a special Christmas gift, here are a few pictures of what HQ looks like since we gave it a jolly makeover. As festive fanatics we (of course) went a bit overboard with our Christmas themes. From Bad Santa to the Polar Express, all the teams got creative, and, we think, totally outdid ourselves!

TWINKLE TOES

We're huge fans of Jak & Jil and absolutely loved their post on Emily Elson's favourite things. As first assistant to super stylist Nicola Formichetti, we're not surprised she had so many amazing pieces in her closet. But what really blew us away were these unbelievable Prada chandelier sandals! Now we can't think of anything else we’d rather have on our feet this Christmas ... they'd match our tree perfectly!

Horsing Around

All the girls around the office today have been singing the same song and now we cannot get Lost a Girl by New Young Pony Club out of our heads! So we're spreading the joy to you. Altogether now...

AMERICAN BEAUTY

We're planning a hop skip and jump across the pond to take a peek at FIT's current exhibition. American Beauty: Aesthetics and Innovation in Fashion looks at the concept of beauty and dress making and how the two are best brought together by a selection of 25 of America's über designers.  Forget notions of sartorial safety or fashion blandness - the 75 looks on show display the sort of wild creativity and technical wizardry that comes out of the very best fashion houses. Check out the darling Pauline Trigère dress and coat, or the stunning John Galanos black structured number. We're already drooling and we haven't even booked our flights yet!  It's on until April 10 2010, so if you find yourself in New York get down there.
