The closest we’ve ever come to actually being speechless was when the lovely Clare from Vintage Academe invited us to take a look at her beautifully curated collection of vintage clothing. We could barely believe our eyes or ears when she talked us through rail upon rail of designer beauties from the last century. From a Christian Dior two-piece suit to an Yves Saint Laurent Le Smoking jacket, we didn’t quite know what to do with ourselves!

Professionally curated by Central Saint Martins’ lecturer, Judith Watt,and founder, Clare Nicholls, Vintage Academe hand-pick the best - the very best - of the most influential and inspiring designers from the last hundred years and love and care for them before selling them on to good homes.

So there’s an original Chanel boucle suit and signature Versace hot pink jacket sitting prettily alongside classic Lanvin and irrepressible Givenchy. It’s enough to make a girl feel uncontrollably giddy. Especially, when you get to try on all your favourite pieces ... that’s a jewel encrusted Thierry Mugler suit for us.

Make sure you head down to our Oxford Circus store to see amd hear the history behind these ground-breaking designer pieces. We’ll be there, swooning over 1970s Yves Saint Laurent through to 80s Azzedine Alaïa. And the very best bit? Certain pieces will be availiable to try on and take home for your keeping!
