THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF BROWNS
May 25, 2010
For the last 40 years, high fashion mecca Browns and its patron, the inimitable Mrs B, have been bringing amazing clothes from around the world into one gorgeous boutique. We often saunter by for a whiff of the sartorial wonder that lies within! And we'll be taking a stroll that way again, sharpish, because, until May 30th, the iconic store is holding Browns: 40 Years of Fashion Innovation.

This celebratory exhibition explores the history of this world-famous boutique and the brands that it has nurtured. There are archived pieces from labels like Comme de Gacrons, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen for your browsing pleasure, alongside specially-shot photographs by Paolo Roversi of fashion insiders wearing Browns' finest.
It’s free to get in and has been curated by Simon Costin, who used to produce McQueen's infamously outlandish shows. It's only on until the end of this week, so get your skates on and go have a look-see at a genuine piece of fashion history!
If you can't get down to London, a limited-edition of Brown's first ever book is available to buy online. This beautiful keepsake includes interviews, exclusive specially commissioned images by Paolo Roversi, contributions from designers and ambassadors' that have worked with Browns and stunning archive pictures that will fill you with delight over years to come.
