HAVING A FIELD DAY

July 20, 2010

We're well into festival season and loving every minute! Next on our radar is an afternoon out at Field Day, which hits Victoria Park on July 31st and looks set to be the perfect mix of eclectic music and country fête. Head to the Eat Your Own Ears stage to see headliners Phoenix and Andrew Weatherall and have good old dance to a DJ set by the infamous Gilles Peterson. Then check in on Atlas Sound before shifting the pace up a notch for Fake Blood and Blogger's Delight. If all the music and bopping gets a bit much, take a jaunt down to the village green area, where you can browse myriad stalls of food and wares and try your hand at a few old school games (as well as a few more unusual ones!) Ever fancied milking a plywood cow? This is your chance! There's a cabaret tent and a treasure hunt with a twist, and a DIY fashion tent where you can swap your clothes for new vintage finds. We think we might have found our perfect day!

All good but it's at Victoria Park not London Fields :)

Me and my friends go to Mrs Bear's Swap shop @ Victoria Park and we're sooooo pleased she's going to be doing a swap at Field Day this year....can't wait!!

How does the swap work? I'm going to Field Day and thinking of taking a few bits. Do things get graded? Or can you just swap anything?

You get your clothes graded and you swap like for like. At least, that's how it works at the one in Crouch end I go to. They have more do's and don't on their website http://www.mrsbears.co.uk.
